The City of Mentor, in conjunction with Waste Management, now offers “walk up” service for those residents that are physically unable to move their garbage container and recycling container to the curbside on their waste collection day.
This program applies only to the garbage container and the recycling container. It does not apply to bulk items and yard waste.
The container(s) must be readily accessible to the Waste Management employee and must be within 75’ of the curb and must be outside of any garage or other structure.
A licensed medical doctor must attest to the fact that the individual is physically unable to roll the container(s) to the curb and back.
There are no other individuals living at the residence that have the physical ability to move the container(s).
